ImageHot Air and Baseboard heating systems heat just the air, so most of the heat rises to the ceiling. But Hot Water Radiant Heat systems circulate warm water beneath your floor (or even through your ceilings or walls) through our RAUPEX PEX pipes, radiating heat from the entire floor (or ceilings or walls) to warm you and every object in the room.

Radiant Floor Heating warms everything in the room with a consistent, uniform heat. No more cold floors or drafty rooms.
  • Radiant Heat is economical, reducing operating costs by up to 30%
  • Radiant Heat is quiet and clean, there are no noisy fans or dry blown air to distribute dust, allergens, or odors throughout your home
  • Zone control - With room-by-room temperature control, you adjust the temperature to meet your needs for a particular room or time of day
  • Radiant Heat is invisible, there are no bulky appliances, registers or ventilation ducts

Just look at the features Radiant Heat has to offer:
  • Radiant floor heat is economical - heating the house and contents - not heating the air first (both hot air and baseboards heat the air first. This reduces your operating costs by 20% to 40% or more!
  • Radiant floor heat is quiet, clean and healthy, requiring no blown air that can distribute dust and pollen to trigger allergies.
  • Radiant floor heat is warm not hot. No hot surfaces that can burn your skin or discolor fabrics.
  • Radiant floor heat is hiddenâ??there are no bulky radiators, registers or ventilation ducts to interfere with furniture or traffic flow.
  • Radiant floor heat is COMFORTABLE radiating heat to you and your surroundings, warming you from the bottom up and ending cold feet forever!
  • Radiant floor heat is recognized as the quality leader and adds appreciably value of your home.
  • Radiant floor heat is the easiest heating system to install, if you have the proper instructions.

The comfort of radiant heat dates back to the Romans who used this 'luxurious' form of heating to warm their stone and marble tile floors. Today, radiant heat systems are installed in applications ranging from small, single-family homes to 150,000 square foot warehouses.

What is Radiant Heat?
Radiant heat is a form of hydronic (hot water) heat that circulates warm water through special tubing and installs in or underneath floors. Radiant heat systems heat objects throughout the room, so you can feel the difference. It simply eliminates cold drafts and keeps the heat at the floor, warming you and the furniture, not the air.
To understand the feeling of radiant heat, imagine a cool day with bright sunshine. If you walk from the shade into the sunlight, you'll instantly feel the warm rays of the sun - that's radiant heat at work!

Heat Sources For Radiant Heat Applications
Brilliantly designed for ultra high efficiency and built with the highest quality components, these fully condensing, wall-hung units provide you with the greatest level of comfort for your money. Built to last forever with minimal service, they offer a multitude of installation options and can perform many tasks -space heating, domestic hot water, pool and spa heating, snow melt - you name it. Using high-grade stainless steel for the heat exchanger and cast aluminum for the water jacket, a lifetime of reliable operation is virtually assured!

These Energy Star® MZs are designed for condensing, a process that recovers the heat trapped in the water vapor produced by gas combustion. Condensing enables the boiler to extract all of the heat possible, saving you money year after year. Instead of a flue gas temperature in the 350º to 400º range as the conventional non-condensing boiler produces, the MZ's can be in the range of 50º for snowmelt applications to 170º for baseboard copper-finned operation. The difference in temperature reflects the heat going in the home, not up the chimney. Condensing is great for the environment because along with the condensed vapor, many pollutants are harmlessly drained away.

The clean-burning MZs exceed the strictest air quality standard in the US - the California South Coast Air Quality Standards - by 60%!
